"I'm into vintage clothing and collecting vintage home decor so when it came to designing a charm bracelet, naturally I went for vintage. Okay, with the exception of one...little magnetic movable fortune frog, sitting top right (a gift that I love!) that charmed its way on. Everything else from the bracelet to charms are ALL vintage.
I love the playful interactive charms, like the classic wishing well (you spin a lever and the bucket winds up and down). The vintage Pink Panther with all its movable limbs, the movable flopping fish charm, the first aid pill container charm that holds my Benadryl (maybe more useful than playful), the envelope that can be filled with a secret note, and the do not disturb sign that made me giggle as I placed it next to the horny goats - All on for mere fun!
Wait. Wait...a min...are they just for fun!!??? It comes to light, right at this second as I'm writing, that these charms actually do represent more even if I didn't choose them to represent a particular aspect of my life: they really do all have a meaning though!! These charms represent me ENTIRELY! My character: my childlike wonder and possibly my quirky sense of humor.
Some charms go a little deeper though and some charms are just necessary, like the Maloik charm that wards off evil and the angel bell that chimes to call upon my angels. Good luck charms in my opinion are just basic necessities for a charm bracelet."

The stork and bamboo charm is in memory of my beloved grandmother. She loved to paint similar scenes; the walls of my childhood home was her personal art gallery filled with all of her paintings.

As a trained jeweler/designer this miniature jewelers loupe is a tool of the trade. This gold memento represents more than a decade of working in the jewelry industry.

I lived in Hong Kong for three years, and it is where Penelope was born. What a vibrant and amazing city! During that time, we traveled to Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia, Tibet and more. Plus, I was only a short flight from my little sister in Bali.
