Charms & Chains
We offer a mix of vintage, vintage-inspired, and modern solid 14k gold charms. When a charm is labeled vintage, it’s a special collectible from our carefully curated Vintage Vault— each piece has its own story and history.
The Vintage Vault is a collection of unique gold charms, thoughtfully curated by our team in NYC. Pieces range from 9k to 14k to 18k gold, and each charm carries its own history. To learn more about a particular piece, check the “About this Charm” dropdown on the product page.

Our 14k gold collection charms are made-to-order in our New York City studio. These are in-house designs (i.e. not vintage), crafted with movable elements, fine details, and timeless sophistication. Many charms are vintage-inspired but with a modern twist.
We offer 14k yellow gold, and many styles are also available in 14k white or rose gold by special order. Making each piece to order allows us to focus on innovation, refining favorites, and creating charms uniquely for you.
Yes! Every Charmco Collection charm is meticulously crafted in our New York City studio using solid 14k gold. Some styles are also available in 14k white or rose gold (select on the product page under “Gold Type”).
Our Vintage Vault primarily features 14 karat gold charms, though pieces may be made from 9k, 10k, or 18k gold. Each vintage charm is inspected for authenticity and quality before joining the Vault.
We do not offer charms in vermeil, gold-plated, gold-filled, or sterling silver. Learn more about why we work exclusively with solid 14k gold.
Jump rings are small 14k gold loops (6mm outside to outside) that attach a charm to a bracelet or necklace. You can choose to:
- Leave the jump ring open ($0)
- Have it soldered closed by a local jeweler
- Have Charmco attach it to a bracelet or necklace in your cart ($10)
- Have Charmco close the jump ring for you to be slid on a chain ($10)
This service is $10 per charm and non-refundable.

For Bracelets: Single charms are usually soldered in the center. Multiple charms are arranged by a stylist for balance and best design.
For Necklaces: Charms will either slide along tighter links or be stationed on open links.
Please include any placement preferences in your “Order Notes”.
Charm connectors and clasps add versatility.
Charm clasps replace the jump ring and snap open or shut to move charms between chains.
Charm connectors are larger, singular clasps used for stacking and styling.

Yes! Engraving makes your charm uniquely yours. Add names, initials, birthdates, or a special message to any charm part of our Engravable Collection.
See style options via the ”?” icon next to “Select Engraving Style”.
Charms are small— some messages may need to be shortened. Each engravable charm has its own unique character limit per page (spaces are included!).
Please allow an additional 2-3 business days for engraving.
Engraved charms are considered special orders and are non-refundable.
Returns & Exchanges
Yes! We want you to love your Charmco charm. Unworn jewelry can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Returns after 14 days are eligible for store credit. Returns or exchanges are not accepted after 30 days.
Please note: Items marked as final sale and any special order items cannot be returned or exchanged. Shipping fees and attachment services are non-refundable. All items noted as “custom”, white or rose gold charms and chains, engraved charms, shipping fees, and attachment services are non-refundable.
All approved exchanges incur a $15 shipping fee.
Email Us: Contact info@charmco.com with your order number within 7 days of receipt to initiate your return or exchange. We will respond as quickly as possible with an acknowledgement of your return.
Prepare Your Item: Once approved, send your item back in its original packaging, including your packing slip or receipt. Items must be unworn and unaltered.
Ship Securely: Please send your order back to us at the below address within 14 business days of acknowledgement, using a trackable, insured method such as UPS or FedEx.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.

No. We do not accept returns or exchanges of items marked as final sale, engraved orders, custom orders, white gold charms and chains or rose gold charms and chains.
All special orders are custom, non-refundable pieces in our collection.
Special orders include engraved charms, anything noted as “custom”, 14k white or rose gold charms and chains.

Approved exchanges incur a $15 shipping fee
Refunds are processed within 2–3 business days after we receive your return. You will receive a confirmation email, though timing for the credit to appear on your statement may vary depending on your bank.
Eligible returns received after 14 days but within 30 days will receive store credit in your Charmco account. Store credit is valid for one year from the issue date. We reserve the right to refuse returns that show signs of wear or damage.
We understand that sometimes you may want to exchange an item for something else or someone may have bought you a charm for the second time! Email us at info@charmco.com to process your exchange.
All approved exchanges will incur a $15 shipping fee.

Sales tax is only charged for orders shipped to New York State, Florida, and Virginia. The tax will be automatically calculated in your shopping cart once you enter your shipping address.

Yes. Orders canceled after payment are subject to a 2.5% credit card processing fee.
If your billing address is a PO Box, please enter this information as usual. However, UPS does not offer shipping to PO Boxes. Please provide a valid street address to ensure your order is delivered without delay.

We do our best to ship all orders quickly and with care:
- Vintage charms: within 2 business days
- Engraved/custom jewelry: 10-14 business days
- Made-to-order collection charms: 5–7 business days (+engraving/custom time)
- Custom-built charm bracelets and necklaces: assembled just for you Please allow additional time for assembly and personalization.

Shipping time begins once production is complete. Expedited shipping speeds transit only and does not shorten production time.
UPS cannot guarantee delivery dates, and we are not responsible for UPS delays.

Orders of $300 or more within the continental U.S. ship free via UPS Ground (1–5 business days) and include full insurance. Signature confirmation is available upon request for an additional fee.
Expedited UPS shipping options are available at checkout. Standard delivery is Monday–Friday. Expedited shipping does not shorten production time.

We ship to select countries outside the United States via UPS with full insurance on every order. UPS Worldwide Saver is available, and shipping rates are calculated at checkout.
International shipping costs shown at checkout are a one-time, all-inclusive charge covering customs and duties. Once shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a UPS tracking number.
No. UPS does not deliver packages to PO Boxes. Please provide an accurate street address.
Yes. We ship to all militrary addresses via USPS.
Gift Orders
For gift orders shipping to an address different from the billing address, we may contact you by phone or email to confirm order details. All Charmco orders ship with a simple packing slip that does not display prices and can be used as a gift receipt.
Yes. All Charmco orders arrive in our signature brown gift box and pouch, or gift box depending on your order. You may also include a complimentary gift note at checkout, which will be enclosed with your package.
Yes. Please visit our eGift Card page to purchase a Charmco eGift Card. When selecting “Send as a gift,” you may enter the recipient’s email address and choose when it is sent—either immediately or on a scheduled date. The recipient will receive an email with a link to view your greeting and redeem the gift card.
At checkout, enter the unique code from your gift card email into the "Discount code or gift card" box and click "apply". The gift card value will be applied to your order total.
Care & Repair
Our handcrafted 14k collection charms are proudly made-to-order in the USA, and we stand behind their quality. Each piece is carefully inspected before shipping. If an issue arises upon receipt, we will repair or replace the item as needed.
- Within the first year: Complimentary repair for collection jewelry if the issue is due to a manufacturing defect.
- After one year or for customer-handled damage: A repair fee will be quoted after inspection.
For vintage charms, each piece is inspected thoroughly prior to shipping. If an issue arises, we will do our best to assist with repairs within four weeks of receipt. After this period, we are not responsible for normal wear and tear that naturally occurs with older pieces.
Please note: We are not responsible for any work performed by third-party jewelers.
To keep your charms looking their best:
- Gently clean with a soft, old toothbrush and mild, detergent-free soap, reaching all crevices.
- Dry completely with a lint-free jewelry cloth—moisture can weaken clasps over time.
- Handle delicate pieces (lockets, glass stones, pearls, and enamel) with extra care. Avoid swimming or strenuous activity to prevent loss or damage. Vintage enamel charms may naturally soften in color over time.
- Store charms in a velvet-lined box or in separate pouches or compartments to prevent scratching.
Only entrust repairs or cleaning to a reputable jeweler.

Yes! In-person shopping is by appointment only, Monday–Friday, 11am–4pm. We are located in midtown Manhattan’s historic jewelry district on West 47th Street. To schedule an appointment, please email info@charmco.com with what you are looking for.
If you’re unable to visit us in person, we’re always happy to schedule a virtual appointment or share additional photos or videos of any charm or chain to help you shop with confidence.
Wholesale
No. After working with boutiques and department stores for many years, we chose to offer our charms and chains exclusively through our website. This allows us to keep our prices lower, offer the widest possible selection, and provide the highest level of customer service. We have been selling through our website for almost 20 years and love to work directly with our clients.
